What is Tablescaping?

It’s a term you’ll have seen and read a lot about lately.

Tablescaping is a version of landscape gardening for your table. It’s about serving food on beautiful dishes and co-ordinating your glassware, flowers, candles, napkins and tablecloths.

It’s not for absolutely every day, but it does make having a meal feel more special. My ceramics are robust and perfectly suited to serving sharing platters as well as bowls of nibbles, soups, pasta, desserts.

The possibilities are endless.

You could mix and match or stick to the core colours of green, blue or ruby. This time of year, I love to put peonies in my vases to complete the look, but any seasonal flowers are good. There are lots of giant daisies in the hedgerows and gorgeous pink and purple wildflowers.

Have fun with them and bon appetit!
